Bill Crockett and his attractive snappy green clothes went back to Chicago next Monday with Bob Mack . And never a- gain this year will Motion Picture Harris drag him out of his seat , throw him on the floor , and drag him out of the theater just because he shone his innocent little flashlight .
Geraldine Evans was reading The Mears News in Hart high school when along came a teacher named Frank Trull and said : Can't you find something else to study that will do you just as much good ? "
Now what does Frank Trull know about it anyway . Of course she couldn't . When I first heard Frank Trull had gone to the Hart High School , I heard he was go- ing to teach mathematics . And
I looked up his qualifications and found he had been down at M. A. C. and taken a course in animal husbandry . And I said to myself " Frank Trull got his higher math- ematics down at East Lansing by the laboratory method . Every morning he was detailed to count the carnation - colored cows in the college pasture . And so he became very proficient in algebra and arithmetic . " But when I asked Frank about it he said no , he was teaching Science , Chemistry and Physic and when he was down at the cow college he studied pustry and physiques .

Duroc Doucette's caravan of watermelon seekers had looked all over the Shelby countryside and found only three watermelons and the mogul was just about ready to lead his satellites home when Frank Barrile stated he could guarantee them melons at a certain secret garden and he led the way to his own watermelon patch and feasted the boys , who thought they were in a neighbor's patch and didn't find out until next morning .
Helen Billings and Geraldine Evans scampered thru the crowd of roller skaters on the court house square Monday night and went up to Hart high school to at- tend the meeting of the students ' council and legislate and regu- late the exuberance of Hart's sec- ond generation .

Jud Hickok was terribly scared that he had lost his hind auto seat . He keeps his can in Pus Hedges barn in Shelby and when Rufus was taking out a bundle of lightning rods to the farm he took out his hind seat so it would not get scratched and stood it up in Jud Hickok's barn when Jud found the seat was gone he got the idea that Rufus had changed seats with him and he came over / on Saturday night and looked the underside of Rufus ' hind seat all over but could not find his one little indentification mark , the broken spring . So he went home and found his own seat in his own
car .

A republican rally came Mears Thursday evening and the Pentwater band made an orches- ( ra ) blare under Edward Ethan Allen's village flag - pole . And Bur ton S. Shaw spread some of his clean - cut eloquence over the con- gregation . Then afterwards came Earl Pugsley who spoke with virile vigor and forcefulness and unsubdued virility and rare re- lentlessness and told the people what they ought to know about the Republican gospel . And many who came out of curiosity went away converted .

A fine legal question arises over the business behavior of Charles W. Noret . He places a passenger car in the street in front of his semi - drug store and daubs some white lettering on the windshield : " For Sale , C. W. Noret . " You can see it there day in and day out In fact he is using the street for a salesroom . Now if he can use the street for a saleroom for his auto would it not also be alright for Rusty Gust , the merchant next door to draw up a wagon in front of his curb and put on it a sign : Wagon for sale , $ 65 , " and leave it there obstructing the Hart boule- vard week in , and week out ? And if it is fair for Rusty Gust to park a wagon there , would it not also be right for Motion Picture Harris to park a manure spreader in front of his carb with a card- board sign on it : " Manure Spreader for sale , $ 19 ,? " And if Motion Picture Harris can park a manure spreader in front of his
